In its 56th session, the Future Center for Advanced Research and Studies (FARAS) proudly participates in the Cairo International Book Fair, held from January 23 to February 5, 2025. Located at the Egypt International Exhibition and Convention Center in Cairo, the center's pavilion can be found in Hall 3-C36. It showcases the latest publications, offering specialized scientific and academic insights on global and regional issues. These publications highlight significant geopolitical transformations, economic changes, technological advancements, social developments, and other topics relevant to the center's focus areas.

As part of its participation, FARAS is organizing four book signing seminars. The first seminar is an intellectual discussion on "In the Making: Navigating the Middle East amidst Global Changes and Regional Dynamics" by His Excellency Nabil Fahmy, former Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs. The book explores transformations in the international system, the shift towards multipolarity, and international competition concerning the Middle East. It examines the emerging characteristics of the Middle Eastern system, the Arab-Israeli conflict, and regional peace challenges. Scheduled for Sunday, February 2, 2025, at 3:00 PM, the seminar promises to offer valuable insights.

The following day, the center will host a book signing for "Forces of Change: The Future of the Middle East between Internal Drivers and External Interactions," edited by Dr. Ali El-Din Hilal, Professor of Political Science at Cairo University. The book discusses the forces driving change in the Middle East, focusing on internal factors and their interplay with regional elements. The seminar is set for Monday, February 3, at 3:00 PM.

Another book signing seminar features "The Brotherhood’s Media after the Fall," authored by Diaa Rashwan, Chairman of the State Information Service, General Coordinator of the National Dialogue in Egypt, and Honorary President of the General Union of Arab Journalists. The book examines the characteristics of the Brotherhood's media following their ousting from power in Egypt. This seminar will take place on Tuesday, February 4, at 4:00 PM.

The fourth symposium is dedicated to "The Muslim Brotherhood and Violence," edited by Dr. Ibrahim Ghali, Academic Advisor to the "Al-Mustaqbal" Center and Head of the Asia-Pacific Studies Program at the Future Center. The book addresses the Brotherhood's connection to violence and terrorism, identifying levels of armed violence, intellectual extremism, and societal violence. Chaired by Dr. Mohamed Mojahed El-Zayat, Advisor to the Egyptian Center for Thought and Strategic Studies, the symposium is scheduled for Tuesday, February 4, at 5:00 PM.

The center's publications at the fair include the "FARAS Books" series, covering vital issues such as global economic transformations, climate change, naval power policies in Asia and the Pacific, the digital revolution of big data, and the rise of the global south. Other topics include media transformations, artificial intelligence in the information age, wars in the Middle East, the impact of demographic shifts on national security, soft power in foreign policy, culture in international relations, and international competition in the Indian and Pacific Oceans region.

The Center's pavilion also features the seventh issue of the annual "Strategic Report" titled "The State of the Region: Key Interactions in the Middle East 2025," with contributions from over 30 experts and researchers. Latest issues of the "Trending Events" and "Asia Trends" journals are available, offering in-depth analyses of global and regional issues.
