FARAS welcomes World Bank Group's Senior Vice President

Dr. Mahmoud Mohieldin, the World Bank Group Senior Vice President for the 2030 Development Agenda, United Nations Relations, and Partnerships, visited Future for Advanced Research and Studies (FARAS) headquarters in Abu Dhabi where he was received by Academic Director Dr. Mohamed Abdelsalam and a number of the think-tank’s researchers.

Dr. Mohieldin was familiarized with FARAS’ main publications, including the bi-monthly journal Trending Events and the Abu Dhabi Report.

He was briefed about FARAS’ assessments, academic and research activities and has shown interest in the range of topics, issues and economic and political trends discussed by the assessments.

During his visit, the World Bank’s senior official met with the researchers and answered questions about the future of the world economic order, potential economic crises, international trade as well as policies pursued by Middle East states to adapt to emerging global trends including changing oil prices.
