Containment or Adaptation: Repercussions of Russian intervention on Turkish strategy in Syria
The Russian military intervention represents a definite setback for Turkish strategic goals in Syria. Ankara has to re-think its strategic options, including whether to adopt new tools in pursuit of achieving the same goals, or readjust to the aftermath of the Russian intervention, and be susceptible to the possibility of Bashar al-Assad maintaining power following a future settlement to the Syrian Crisis.
