On Monday, November 7, 2016, Future for Advanced Research and Studies (FARAS) received Catherine Sweet, Counselor for Political & Economic Affairs, and Rosaline Ramus, Political Officer at the United States Embassy in Abu Dhabi.

Sweet and Ramus paid a special visit to the think tank to learn more about its activities, namely FARAS’ multidisciplinary strategic studies and approach to regional security issues as reflected in its various print and online publications. The possibility of holding future meetings with visitors to the UAE capital at FARAS headquarters was discussed during the visit.

The US Embassy representatives were welcomed by Dr. Mohamed Abdelsalam, Director at Future for Advanced Research and Studies, along with the Editorial team behind Trending Events, FARAS’ bi-monthly academic periodical, as well as members of the Academic Cooperation and Research teams.
