Experts and researchers from Abu Dhabi-based Future for Advanced Research and Studies (FARAS) visited the campus of the University of Sharjah (UoS) as part of the think tank's bid to open up to and promote co-operation with UAE-based academic institutions.
At a meeting with the Professor Hussain Al-Othman, Acting Dean of the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences, and Ibrahim al-Tohamy, Professor of Sociology, the FARAS delegation gave a presentation about the think tank's scope of research and activities.
Professor Al-Othman expressed appreciation for Trending Events, FARAS's bi-monthly academic periodical while stressing the importance of maintaining continuous contact with the think tank while providing the university students, particularly those majoring in International Relations and Sociology, with opportunities to benefit from FARAS’ various projects and potential.
Concluding the meeting, the FARAS delegation expressed the desire to improve communication with the UoS College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences, to present students with an opportunity to engage in summer training as part of its internship program and maintain continuous contact with its experts and researchers to enhance their capabilities and empower them to improve their research skills.
