The 41st Edition of the Sharjah International Book Fair

FARAS showcasing latest publications

03 نوفمبر، 2022

The Future Center for Advanced Research & Studies (FARAS) is welcoming visitors at the Sharjah International Book Fair, running from 2-13 November 2022.

FARAS is showcasing a wide range of newly published academic and scientific prints at the 41st edition of the international fair, held under the theme “Spread the Word”.

The Abu Dhabi-based leading independent think tank is engaging with visitors at the international fair as part of its strategy to contribute to big cultural events in the United Arab Emirates and the wider the region.

FARAS’ presence at the Sharjah book fair reflects the centre’s commitment to actively engage in key cultural events, and to promote the centre’s scholarship on important and current world affairs in ways that benefit the public and decision-makers alike. The centre’s latest editions of “Trending Events” and the “Future Studies” series offer detailed analysis of ongoing events such as the war in Ukraine, and show how they impact global politics and economy, and by the same token, the Middle East region.

FARAS’ stand is located in Hall 3, stand number 27P, and is offering more than 20 new titles this year that cover a wide range of topics and analysis, including “Future Studies” series, “Future Trends”, “Intelligence Studies”, “Future Indicators”, among other academic publications and magazines that capture current trends.

The 41st Sharjah International Book Fair is seeing more than 2,213 publishers involved from 95 countries. Italy is this year’s guest of honour. Organisers announced that for the second consecutive year, the book fair is the largest in the world in terms of buying and selling copyrights, thanks to the three-day SIBF Publishers Conference that hosted 1,041 publishers and literary agents.
